Well hello, hello. Glad you made it.
If you're not really into reading my life story, skip straight to my resume.
My name is Cynthia Ip. I am primarily based in Philadelphia, where I am a junior studying Political Science and Mathematics at the University of Pennsylvania. I've been studying and living primarily in the United States since I was 13.
I first learned to make websites at the tender age of 9 (thanks to Alice in Computerland). I wasn't very good and diverted my attention to TV soaps and videomaking instead. In 2008, I returned to a world of web development without frames or Frontpage. What I retained from Alice (of Computerland...) proved to be rather useless. I then turned to books, blogs, other people's codes for help. I am now very much Web Standard compliant.
I am a big advocate of self-directed learning and take full advantage of open source, maybe too much. Lately, I am most interested in Information Design (i.e. learn Processing), as well as pursuing an independent research project and deciding on a major.
